Karen's long career in the performing arts, as a singer and teacher in Canada and the UK testifies to her zeal for perseverance and perfection. She trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London and sang in opera and oratorio throughout the British Isles. In 1996 she founded Centre Stage performing arts school for young people and in 2002 she brought the concept to Victoria, following in the footsteps of her grandparents and father, who lived in Sooke during the first half of the twentieth century.

Karen is just as enthusiastic and knowledgeable about property and brings to Victoria her UK experience as co-director of a property renovation and interior design company. Her personal experience serves her clients well as well. In 2002, Karen relocated to Victoria from South Wales with her children Rosanna and Jamie, two Jack Russell terriers, and an assortment of cats. They are all happily settled and delighting in great Canadian pursuits like hockey, skiing, hiking, and sailing (well, maybe not the cats). Karen is also a keen rower.
